About
Glenn Elvig, originally from Houston, Texas, now resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he works as a sculptor/furniture designer....and a singer/songwriter when the occasion arises. Creek House has become the gathering place for some of the best musicians traveling this planet today... Recently, Glenn sang in the chorus on David Mallett's song "Celebration" on the CD of the same name. Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary also sang in the choir. Following that, Glenn did a mini tour with David down to Chatfield, Minnesota and opened for David at the Chatfield Center for the Arts. Earlier in the year, Glenn made the same trip with the legendary Roy Book Binder. Glenn hosted Roy's 75th birthday party/concert at Creek House on October 5, 2018. Creek House has Roy's 80th already on the books....and his 81st on September 20, 2024!
May 2019 found Glenn up in Nova Scotia, Canada playing a short solo set and then singing harmony with Lucie Blue Tremblay. More shows together and some songwriting and recording is ahead in 2024.
Glenn performed at The Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on February 8, 2020. It was the debut of Glenn's first musical collaboration with his lifelong friend Carolyn Hall. Carolyn wrote the lyrics to "My Dog Shoes" and Glenn set them to music. "My Dog Shoes" was the first song Carolyn had written in 93 years. Glenn was the opening act for Mustard's Retreat. Looking forward to a bit of touring with David Tamulevich and Libby Glover in 2024.
Glenn played at the Backus Center in International Falls in support of internationally known artist, Danny O'Keefe on Saturday, October 14, 2023. O'Keefe is a fascinating and brilliant songwriter who penned and performs songs like "Good Time Charley's Got The Blues"...... "The Road" ..... "He Would Have Loved You More Than Eva Braun".... and "Along For The Ride".
Glenn is a proud endorser of David Flammang guitars ( flammangguitars.com ) ... Terry Kennedy guitars (kennedyguitars.com ) ... ands John Walker guitars ( johnwalkerguitars.com ).
